High court judge decries insecurity in Mandera

A high court judge has decried low performance by Mandera courts due to insecurity.
Justice Anthony Ndungu who was in a performance assessment of Mandera law courts said rampant insecurity has retarded courts performance in the region.
Ndungu however lauded local court staff for enduring the hardships in the region to deliver justice. He said Judiciary was committed to improving delivery of justice in the country.
He said a four storey building started in 2015 in Mandera was still under construction adding when completed, it will house three magistrates’ courts and a high court.
Most cases from the region involve illegal immigration and terrorism.
