The Defence Cabinet Secretary, Monica Juma disembarks from a train at the Nanyuki Railway Terminus when she toured the area to access the rehabilitation of the Nairobi-Nanyuki Metre Gauge Railway on Tuesday July 7, 2020. The CS rode the train from Naromoru Station accompanied by top military officials led by the Chief of Defence Forces, General Robert Kibochi, the Kenya Railways Corporation Managing Director, Philip Mainga and the National Youth Service Director-General, Matilda Waswa. Kenya Defence Forces is expected to utilize the railway line to transport military hardware to its barracks in the area once it’s operational.
