More than 30 casual workers at Kisii University Eldoret Campus are up in arms over their what they described as imminent sacking by the campus management.
The aggrieved workers led by Johnston Olenge and Hanz Kimutai said they have been denied pay for the last three months and efforts to reach the director of the campus to address their grievances have borne no fruit.
They complained about threats and intimidation from the director whenever they demanded for their pay.
Efforts to reach the institutions director Dr Kibiego Kurui for a comment were not successful but a senior administrator who declined to be quoted said there were no plans to drop the casual workers and wondered where they, workers got the information of an impending sack.
Several Kisii campuses across the country, including Kitale, Kabarnet and Migori have been closed.
