Migori County Abaluhya Council of elders wants Governor Okoth Obado to ensure that more Luhyas are given County jobs
Abisalom Mujukane, the newly elected chairman, said that they would be happy to see more of their children working under the County Government.
“Having cast our votes as a community to re-elect the governor, we deserve to be allocated more job jobs,” said the chairman.
He also said that Abaluhya is a peaceful community that has always been ready to work hand in hand with other communities in the county to ensure that Migori County flourishes.
His sentiments were echoed by elder Benson Okera who encouraged the County government to ensure that not only Luhya Community but also other communities were considered and employed.
Boaz Abwao, the Secretary General of the Council said that the community was ready to join hands with other community for more harmony and peace in the county.
He said that they would always solve misunderstanding that they would encounter amicably without involving any violence.
The leaders were speaking in a Migori hotel during the election by Abaluhya Council of Elders office bearers.
