Nyeri Governor send condolence to late Bomet Governor’s family

Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga Tuesday sent a message of condolence to Bomet Governor Dr. Joyce Laboso’s family and residents of Bomet County following her death Monday at Nairobi Hospital.
Speaking in his office Kahiga said it is with deep sense of loss, sorrow and shock that he received the news of Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso’s death.

He termed her as a hardworking and committed leader who was ready to serve her people well adding that her demise is not only to her family and the people of Bomet but also to the entire nation.

Kahiga noted that the late Laboso lived a worthy life and went through pain with a smile.
He prayed that may the Almighty Father give comfort to his family during this trying time.

“May God give his family comfort and peace during this trying moment,” said Kahiga.

Nyeri Deputy Governor Dr. Caroline Karugu termed Laboso as a leader who was full of wisdom.
She hailed the late Governor adding that all what she wanted for this country is peace and unity.
“She was a leader full of wisdom. She had fought a good fight despite the pain she was going through. May her soul rest in peace,” said Dr. Karugu.

Following her demise the Country has now lost three sitting Governors, Dr. Joyce Laboso became the third Governor to die in office. In February 2017 first Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua died at the Royal Marsden hospital in London while undergoing treatment.

The Second Nyeri Governor Dr. Wahome Gakuru later died on November 7, 2017 in a grisly early morning road accident while heading to Nairobi for media appointment.
