Women MPs say no to any Referendum to scrap women seats

Women legislators have vowed to support referendum move that will empower women and oppose one that will propose removal of women representatives.
Speaking at Kaaga MCK Church in Imenti North Constituency during a women Caucas dubbed “Inua Mama…..Jenga Taifa”, over 30 women MPs present said those calling for referendum to amend the constitution have ulterior motives meant to subvert women leadership in the country.
The MPs were hosted by the Jubilee nominated MP from Meru County Ms. Halima Mucheke who maintained that women should go for more elective positions
