A class three pupil is nursing serious injuries after he was attacked by a villager while on his way home from school at Kogola Village in Central Kabuoch Location of Ndhiwa Sub County.
Austin Odhiambo (8), a pupil at Wirakuom Primary School was rushed to Marindi Hospital for treatment after he sustained a deep cut on the forehead while on his way home to collect school levy.
Confirming the incident to KNA, the Central Kabuoch Location Chief, Jared Ware said that the minor was hit on the forehead with a blunt object.
Ware added that the minor who was in the company of three other pupils, was attacked at River Ochuoga when they were chasing birds but suddenly a man emerged from the nearby maize plantation and hit his forehead with a blunt object.
The administrator further said that the suspect whose identity has been revealed by the minor disappeared after the incident, adding that he has liaised with police officers to trace the attacker.
According to the Doctor’s report from Marindi hospital, the minor sustained a deep cut on the forehead and bled through the nose.
The minor has been discharged from the Hospital after being stitched.
