Narok Township Member of County Assembly Lucas Kudate has passed on while undergoing treatment at a Nairobi hospital, the County Assembly speaker Davis Dikir has confirmed.
In a statement sent to the local news outlet, the speaker mourned the fallen MCA as a committed leader, who had big plans for his ward.
The first-time MCA who was elected on an ODM ticket has been ailing for a long time, and recently, he held a mega prayer meeting at his home, where Muslim and Christian spiritual leaders met to pray for him.
Before being elected in the position of an MCA, the late Kudate served as the Narok township senior Chief.
In the short time of his leadership, Kudate pioneered the construction of a borehole near the Narok town slaughterhouse that serves the residents of Limanet and Opupungi villages.
Following the news, the Narok residents took to social media to send their condolence messages where they termed their fallen leader as a hero.
Among the people who sent their condolences were former Narok Township MCA Bernard Parsaloi and National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) Narok Coordinator Joyce Kipai.
