Decline in insecurity cases Makueni

Cases  of  insecurity  have declined greatly at the Kwa Kathoka area, Makueni Sub-county Deputy County Commissioner (DCC), Florence  Obunga  has said.

Obunga  attributed this improved security to increase of police patrols and construction of a police post in the area.

The  DCC  was  speaking  at  Kambi Mawe Boys High School on Saturday during Madaraka Day Celebrations, urged members  of  the public to volunteer information that would help the security agents deal with disgruntled elements in  the society.

On  loans, Obunga  cautioned the youth against taking the loans from the various mobile lending platforms, saying they  risked being listed with CRB, which in turn would affect their chances of getting jobs in future.

In  another development, the DCC  warned head teachers against picking children, especially those  from lower classes at 5am in the morning, saying they risked prosecution.

She  noted that children needed ample time to sleep and get enough rest for good performance in class.
