Over 12, 000 candidates in Kajiado County are sitting for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams this year.

While overseeing the official opening of the exam container at Loitoktok Sub County headquarters, Kajiado County Commissioner, Jude Wasonga noted as KCSE officially kick off across the county it will be administered smoothly.

Wasonga pointed out that the weather has so far not affected the smooth administration of KCPE and KPSEA exam and hoped this will be so through the KCSE exam period.

He noted the county is set for any eventuality that may arise due to change of weather as rains intensify.

However, he acknowledged there are some roads in the county that may pose challenges in transportation of the exams but noted all measures have been put in place to ensure the exams run smoothly throughout the exam period.

He further added that they are giving first priority to centres a bit far and with transport challenges during collection of exams so as to reach their destinations on time.

The Commissioner urged the parents not to discriminate their children both girls and boys should be given equal opportunity in education.
