Public participation in Mumias West Sub County

Kakamega Governor Fernades Barasa yesterday engaged Mumias West residents in a public participation forum held in Musanda Ward, where they actively engaged in a question-and-answer session with the executive.

The public offered dynamic ideas and asked the executives to keenly involve them in decision-making and projects across the region.

Governor Barasa addressed a wide range of issues, including the tarmacing of roads and the revitalization of Mumias Sugar.

“We want to involve all the locals while initiating projects in the county, and it is also important that you give your views on the projects,” said Barasa.

The governor said the county would rely on Kakamega County’s transformative 3rd Generation Integrated Development Plan for Sustainable Development.

The event was attended by Roots Party Leader George Wajackoyah, area MP Johnson Naica, and MCAs.
