Vihiga County Commissioner (CC) Felix Watakila has urged the residents to cooperate with the security agencies in order to curb criminal activities in the area.
Wakatila singled out the South East Bunyore location as being notorious for the consumption of illicit brews, bang smoking, and sexual offenses.
The CC stated that the police would be intensifying night patrols so that they bring down the incidents of mugging, drunkenness, and rape.
He appealed to parents and guardians with children having severe disabilities to bring them forth so that they benefit from the assistance being offered by the government through the cash transfer program.
Watakila decried rampant bang smoking and consumption of illicit brews, warning that the law would soon catch up with the peddlers of the outlawed stuff.
He advised the parents to prioritize education for their children in order to realize a prosperous, self-reliant future generation.
