Sh1.85 million set aside for classroom face-lift

More than Sh. 1.8 million has been set aside to renovate five classrooms at Mwikalikha Primary School in Kisa North Ward in Khwisero Sub County.

Speaking on Thursday at the institution, area MP Christopher Aseka said the cash would be sourced from the National Government Constituency Development Kitty (NG-CDF).

“As a feeder school to some of our secondary schools, we will offer Sh. 1.85 million for the renovations of five classrooms at the institution,” He said.

The MP challenged the teachers and students to yield quality marks as he endeavours to support needy students in the next phase of their education.

The legislator also engaged teachers, parents, and the community in the function that brought together education stakeholders at the constituency and ward levels.

“We are seeking to forge a common front towards better performance and, in particular, more statistics of students transiting to the University,” he said.

Aseka later inspected the ongoing construction of storey building under NGCDF at Emwiru Day Secondary School in Mwikalikha Sub-Location and met the project management team.

“Our resolve is to complete the project by the end of the year to be available for use by students and teachers for learning,” he added.
