FKF Teso North 2nd league kicks-off

Sports fans have a charming weekend ahead as Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Teso North Sub Branch League second leg will kick off today with five matches on the card.

Second placed Kabkara FC with 31 points on the log from 16 matches will host 5th placed Kang’elemuge with 30 points, at Kabkara Primary School. Aboloi which is lying 4th (31points) but with inferior goal difference will take on Kocholya at Aboloi Primary School.

Kakurikit Bullets will confront Akobwait at Kakurikit Primary School in other matches slated this afternoon.

Koruruma will clash with Korisai in a local derby at Koruruma Primary School while Homeboys and Black Stars will face off at Malaba Stadium.

The league will take a break on Saturday and Sunday before resuming on Monday July 4, 2022. FKF Teso North Sub Branch chairman, Victor Ochakala said the move followed requests from clubs to have matches played on weekdays and weekends to accommodate students who will be on holiday and registered players of clubs participating in the league.

On Monday, leaders Katakwa FC with 35 points, in the 17-team league, will be away with Black Stars at Kamolo Primary School with Okuleu hosting fourth-placed Aboloi (31 points) at Okuleu Primary School.

Others matches on the card includes: Koruruma vs Kocholia at Koruruma Primary, Korisai vs Sokopaka (Korisai Primary), Akolong vs Legends (Akolong Primary), Adanya Wembe vs Homeboys ( Kakurikit Pri) and Kakurikit Bullets vs Akobwait.

In matches played on Monday, June 27, 2022 Pool FC trounced Korisai 3-1 with Ali Ekisa and Erick Okondo (2) scoring for the winners. Korisai’s consolation goal came through Rashid Odeke.

In the other match, Akolong lost 2-3 to Akobwait with the winners scoring through Obedi Obusuru (2) and Caleb oteng. Gilbert Kaujo scored a brace for Akolong.

Katakwa FC beat Adanya 1-0 with Omoyo Kevin netting the lone goal of the match while Kang’elemuge and Homeboys drew 1-1. Kennedy Okiru netted for the hosts with the visiting team netting through Isaac Mangala.
