MP Engineer Michael Kingi has claimed that 66 per cent of Agricultural Developing Corporation (ADC) land in his constituency is in the hands of private developers.
Speaking at ADC farm at the weekend while accompanied by Committee for Lands and settlement of the National Assembly, Eng. Kingi said, even the offices of ADC are located at a private Land hence, calling on the National government to intervene and save the public land from land grabbers.
Kingi also said, currently ADC farm staffs at Magarini are not working for the ADC but taking care of a private land therefore called on government to return the public land to local residents.
Speaking at the same function, Kilifi North MP, Mr. Owen Baya alleged that one of the ADC farm’s former directors sold the land to private developers at Sh.40million.
Mr. Baya urged the government to investigate the ADC directors who worked at Magarini ADC farm in order to prosecute those who sold public land to private developers.
