Police in Eldoret have arrested a man suspected to have slaughtered his wife and dumped her body in a dustbin.
Eldoret East OCPD John Owuoth said the incident occurred at Mariakani, Kapsoya estate in Eldoret town.
Owouth said Kapsoiya officer commanding police station (OCS) rushed to the scene and found the deceased, Fiona Kasuya aged 26 years old had been murdered and her body dumped in a dustbin.
He said the suspect, David Siloba, 36, has been arrested and was helping police with investigations.
“The body had deep cuts on the left side of the head and some fingers were chopped off,” added the OCPD.
The man was reported to have come back to Kenya from USA a month ago. He was locked up at Naiberi police station.
The body of the deceased was taken to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital to await postmortem.
According to neighbours, the family has been having issues that led to frequent quarrels.
