3 charged in Ogembo law courts with manslaughter

A mother and two brothers were Monday separately charged with manslaughter in an Ogembo law court.
Linet Moraa was brought before Senior Resident Magistrate Margaret Nafula and charged with manslaughter contrary to section 202 as read with section 205 of the penal code.
Moraa was arrested on 22nd of December at Nyamisaro II village in Nyamesocho sub location of Kenyenya Sub County within Kisii County for unlawfully killing Victor Mos, her son allegedly by serving him with poisoned food.
The accused pleaded guilty to the charges but the prosecutor said they are still collecting facts and evidence surrounding the matter before its hearing commences.
The court ordered that she be remanded until 31st of December when the case will be mentioned and hearing date of the case be determined.
In the same court, two siblings; Philip Mose and Daniel Mose were brought before Senior Resident Magistrate Margaret Nafula charged with manslaughter contrary to section 202 as read with section 205 of the penal code.
The duo pleaded not guilty to the charges and were issued with a bond of Sh.300, 000 or surety of a similar amount.
Their case be mentioned on 7th of January 2019 and the date of hearing will be set then.
