Over twenty girls from Kwale Girls High school sustained serious injuries following the collapse of the roof of their makuti thatched dining hall due to a violent rainstorm.
According to the Matuga sub county police commander Ludwin Sasati the unfortunate incident where 22 students were injured happened on Friday afternoon
He said investigations show that the dining hall was in a dilapidated condition and could not withstand the incessant heavy downpour and urged the school authorities in the region to repair their crumbling school structures to avert similar incidents.
