1000 litres of chang’aa siezed, three arrested

Three  women from Koibeyon, Bomet East were on Saturday arrested after being found in possession of 1000 litres of chang’aa.

The  women who are said to be notorious brewers have been using crooked means to escape arrests.

According  to the Bomet East Sub County  Police Commander, James  Kilonzo, the police were also able to destroy several litres of Kankara while destroying all the brewing equipment.

“The  government will not stop the war against illicit brews and I assure you that this will continue till those involved resort to either growing onions or dairy business,” Kilonzo said.

He  said the suspects would be arraigned in court on Monday.
